  • Advanced Skills Baseball Camp (Grades 6-8)

    This advanced skills camp is for students entering 6th - 8th grade in the fall of 2023

    Join the varsity coaching staff as well as the Chaminade Eagle baseball players at an advanced skills camp aimed to get you ready to compete at the next level, high school baseball.  Both offensive and defensive skills will be addressed, including hitting, base running, pitching, and outfield and infield defensive skills. Come see what it's like to be part of Eagle baseball! You can attend one session or both!

  • Football (Grades 3-8)

    Join our Coach Machuca and Coach Riley, as well as our varsity coaching staff and players, this summer to learn the skills needed to compete at the next level. Players will develop a strong foundation in football fundamentals, including passing, catching, tackling, and teamwork.

  • Girls Volleyball

    This skills camp is for girls entering 7th - 9th grade in the fall of 2024
     
    Join varsity girls volleyball coach to learn from the best!  This camp is designed to challenge young women and hone their volleyball skill to get them ready to compete at the high school level.  Come see what it’s like to be part of Eagle Volleyball!

  • Robotics for Competition (Grades 5-9)

    Entering 5th (full day program)
    In this class presented by Chaminade’s internationally recognized Eagle Engineering robotics team, you will be introduced to basic engineering concepts in a way that’s so fun, you’ll forget that it’s preparing you as the next generation of innovators, inventors, and technicians. Students will work in teams create and operate a robot to compete in a game inspired by this year’s VEX Robotics Competition. No experience necessary. Involves hand tools and light metal work. Closed-toed shoes required. The course fee includes a healthy snack and lunch every day of the week!

  • Camp Cricut Create (Grades 4-8)

    It doesn’t take an artist to create one-of-a-kind projects. Using the computer program Design Space, students can easily tap into their creative side to create images on tablet computers. Watch their designs come to life as they create one-of-a-kind tote bags, water bottles, t-shirts, and more. Creativity and technology come together in this camp as students print their designs on Cricut Makers.
  • Volleyball (Grades 5-)

    Entering 5th – 9th Grade
    Join us on our beach volleyball courts with the varsity coaching staff and players this summer. Learn the skills needed to compete at the next level. Players will learn ball control skills and offensive and defensive game strategies. Players will be grouped according to ability.

    Entering 6th grade - For Students New to Chaminade Middle School
    This half-day workshop will immerse new students in a daily three-hour experience specially designed to prepare them for starting the new school year off right at Chaminade’ s Chatsworth campus. Each student will attend two classes daily to expose them to the skills and knowledge expected of entering Chaminade students. The classes will include an “Introduction to Chaminade”, a class designed to familiarize students with Chaminade culture, meet program directors, ask pertinent questions and meet their classmates, and “Study Skills”, in which students will learn important skills for organization, time management, note-taking, and test preparation. Students will utilize tablet computers daily in each class to practice keyboarding and learn the basic functions of the laptops in a classroom setting.

    Join our volleyball coaches in the gym to work on your game skills!  Troy Magorien, former Division 1 Men's Volleyball player from Pepperdine/Concordia and current pro player with Rising Tide along with Doug Magorien, former boys head coach of Westlake and Taft HS in a summer program to improve your current skills while having fun. Troy Magorien was a former MVP of the Marmonte league in the Conejo valley, All American AVCA HS player and coach for 949 volleyball club earning a bronze and silver medal at nationals. Doug Magorien has developed 36 Division 1 men and women's volleyball players and 1 current Olympian Kyle Ensing. Both have a wealth of knowledge to share.

  • Artistic Crafts Camp (Grades 4-8)

    Students will explore ceramics, printing/ stamp making, and acrylic painting, creating multiple pieces each week using the designated material. At the end of the camp, students will be able to showcase their work at an “art show” for friends, family, and other summer students to attend. 
  • Make Your First 3D Video Game ( Grades 6-8)

    In this Black Rocket classic, you will go well beyond the limitations of the traditional 2D game design classes and create an immersive 3D world. Students will learn the physics behind 3D games, explore beginner event scripting, level design, controlling the flow of gameplay, and storytelling. Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Projects are only compatible with Windows devices. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    This is your chance to make the friendship bracelets! Join us for a camp that lets you personalize and accessorize you own fashion, jewelry and accessories.  Campers will get to let their imagination and creativity run wild as they design hats, tote bags, necklaces. Supplies are included and the use of a Cricut machine will be used to aid in the campers amazing creations!

Learn how to use Command and Structure blocks to incorporate them into your builds. Activate your skills and take your Minecraft structures to the next level!

  • Introduction to Musical Theater (Grades 2-6)

    This one-week course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their skills and techniques in the following areas: music, movement, and acting. Students will work on scenes and songs from DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.  This course will use Musical Theatre repertoire appropriate for the age, skill, talent, and ability of the students. Students will develop basic skills and knowledge in the rehearsal process and promote confidence in their performance abilities. Students will have an opportunity to show off their talents to friends and family at the end of the workshop.

    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more!   • A.I. Adventures - Intro to Machine Learning (Grades 6 - 8)

    Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Advanced Dance Camp

    Dancers will understand what defines each dance style and have the opportunity to try all of them to see which ones they most enjoy. Your dancer will even be able to find their own personal style by blending different dance styles into one that feels natural and unique to them. 
     
    As much fun as it is to perform someone else’s dance, many dancers love to create moves and routines all their own. After all, it is an art form. This camp dance will give your child a crash course in choreography. Your dancer will learn the essentials of how to choose dance music and how to coordinate their routine with the music’s natural beat. They’ll also learn how to use their performance space well. Most importantly, they will learn to build in transitions to take their routine from one move to the next smoothly, and in a natural way.

    This dance intensive is for students entering 6th - 9th grade in the fall of 2024.
     
    Don’t miss you chance to work with our Chaminade Dance Director and former L.A. Rams Cheerleader, Jacqueline Ward.  This dance intensive will assist dancers on refining their technique in multiple styles of dance.  Master guest instructors and choreographers will also be a part of the instructional team.  We hope to have you join us to boost your fundamental techniques to a more advanced level.
     
    Jacqueline Ward was a competition dancer her whole life before attending Chapman University’s prestigious dance program. Upon graduation, she signed with a talent agency and dances professionally in Los Angeles. She is currently a Cheerleader (dancer) for The Los Angeles Rams.

    Teach your kids the secrets of building financial wealth and security! Whether you want to build the next great American company, become a Wall Street tycoon, or be the millionaire next door by investing wisely - this camp is for you! In this course, you will learn the basics of investing in the stock market, the difference between assets and liabilities, the importance of diversification, and how to evaluate companies. You will also develop your own business plan and present your ideas to your peers to compete for their investments in a mock Shark Tank-style activity. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    This workshop will immerse new students in a three-hour daily experience specifically designed to familiarize NEW Chaminade students with the middle school culture and meet their classmates. Students will also learn important skills for organization, time management, note-taking, and test preparation. Students will utilize tablet computers daily to practice keyboarding and learn the basic functions of the laptops in a classroom setting.

    Let’s dance and cheer now that summer is near! Dance fundamentals and cheer will be the foundation of this camp. Learn cheers and fun choreography to perform for your friends and family at the end of the week. Join Chaminade’s Dance Director and L.A. Ram’s cheerleader, Jacquelyn Ward, to experience this fun-filled, funky week of dance!

    Entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade
    Come learn about the criminal justice system from the coaches of the four-time Los Angeles County Champion Chaminade Mock Trial Team. Students will learn the skills of trial advocacy including rules of evidence, how to examine witnesses, give opening statements, and make closing arguments. On the last day of camp, students will have the opportunity to present a criminal trial for parents and family. Open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

    This program will meet in person on the Chatsworth Campus.

  • Advanced Dance Camp

    Dancers will understand what defines each dance style and have the opportunity to try all of them to see which ones they most enjoy. Your dancer will even be able to find their own personal style by blending different dance styles into one that feels natural and unique to them. 
     
    As much fun as it is to perform someone else’s dance, many dancers love to create moves and routines all their own. After all, it is an art form. This camp dance will give your child a crash course in choreography. Your dancer will learn the essentials of how to choose dance music and how to coordinate their routine with the music’s natural beat. They’ll also learn how to use their performance space well. Most importantly, they will learn to build in transitions to take their routine from one move to the next smoothly, and in a natural way.

    Join us in the coolness of the gym with the varsity basketball coaching staff and players this summer to learn the skills and develop new ones!  Players will learn offensive and defensive skills as well as have a great time. Players will be grouped by level of play and skill.
  • Camp Cricut Create (Grades 4-8)

    It doesn't take an artist to create one of a kind projects. Using the computer program, Design Space, students can easily tap into their creative side create images on table computers.  Watch their designs come to life as they create one of a kind tote bags, water bottles, t-shirts and more.  Creativity and technology come together in this camp as students print out their designs on Cricut Makers.
  • ROBLOX Coders (Grades 6-8)

    Discover the Lua coding language while designing experiences in ROBLOX®, an online universe where you can create anything you dream of. This class combines game design concepts, coding, and fun! New developers will learn to use Roblox’s Studio software to reimagine the popular game genres with your own custom code! Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program

  • A.I. Adventures - Intro to Machine Learning (Grades 6-8)

    Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student-created projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

  • Cardboard Super Hero Star Wars (Grades 5-8)

    It all started with a cardboard box...
    We are proud to be partnering with Cardboard Superheroes  - a non-profit organization with a mission to promote creative thinking and learning as well as the arts in education. The are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) driven organization pushing the boundaries educating the next generation. 
    Cardboard Superheroes was founded by the creators of the life-sized cardboard models such as Iron Man, Groot, Wall-E, Wonder Woman, Hulkbuster, and more! Connor Lee (Chaminade class of ’23) and Bauer Lee (current Chaminade High School student) have also created the Pop-Culture STEAM Curriculum used by over 250,000+ students, have designed exhibitions for museums/organizations, and more! Changes to your registration can be made up to one week prior to the program/course start date, with a full refund of course fees by sending a written request to centerforexcellence@chaminade.org.

Cancellations with less than a week's notice will NOT be eligible for refunds, but fees paid may be applied towards future programming.
