The Board of Directors is the highest body of Chaminade College Preparatory. The Board is mandated by its Articles of Incorporation to "provide for the education of youth according to the precepts of the Roman Catholic Church and the particular educational philosophy of the Society of Mary." The Board is comprised of volunteers, and operates Chaminade as a non-profit, public benefit corporation. It is registered with both the Federal and State governments and not organized for the private gain of any person.
 
The purpose of the Board of Directors is to govern Chaminade College Preparatory. The Board is a policy making body and delegates through the President. It does this by hiring the President to operate the school, approving the budget, managing the resources of the corporation, making a Strategic Plan, formulating and participating in the Development plan.
